The shop is now owned and run by Di Green, Richard’s (Alias Dick’s) wife. Di left school at the age of 17 after gaining a place at Sheffield Art College on Psalter Lane, but after finding out the course was 6 years long, she decided to go down the business and secretarial route! With both her artistic abilities, not only with refurbishing the store, painting canvases and making wedding and birthday cakes for friends and family, her business and secretarial studies have stood her in good stead.

Four years ago Di ripped Dicks Board store apart and re designed the whole Store. She was helped by two metallurgists, who at first didn’t quite understand what she wanted, but once they looked at her designs, began to work with her they soon understood what her ideas were all about! Di changed the whole interior to a metal infusion of industrial pipe work, stainless steel, mirrors with a cool white back drop which shows off all the beautiful well chosen colours which are in the Store.

Di has worked in fashion and design for a number of years, which has given her a good understanding and appreciation of great designs, colours and the best accessories you can find. Dick’s board store is renound for having the best ski and snowboard boutique fashion in the North. (These comments are expressed by her customers who come from as far a field as London).
