When
Richard ‘Big Dick' Green was looking for a specific pair of
ski boots and couldn't find them anywhere in the whole of South
Yorkshire , he didn't take it lying down… ‘Big Dick's
Board Store' was born into a niche market, and in the 15 years since
that fateful shopping trip the business has gone from strength to
strength, providing thousands of snow hounds with everything they
need to enjoy the white stuff. |

The
store is managed by Dianne Green, Richard's snowboarding wife, who
is ably assisted by Fred, Chris, Mo, Karen & Sonia. |

Big
Dick's ‘urban industrial' interior, with its exposed pipe
work, modern metal flooring and clean white walls, is the perfect
backdrop for the serious selection of skiing and boarding hardware
on offer. Racks of boards, rows of boots and shelves stacked high
with all the essentials, from socks to sun block – if you're
hitting the slopes, it's a good idea to hit Big Dick's first.
And
then there's the in-house workshop…
